So talking to my very supportive wife over the weekend, she came up with what I feel is a fabulous idea! After listening to a mix cd I did she made a suggestion of putting together some mixes and NOT using any of my “goto” songs. This may seem pretty obvious as a DJ but I always felt when certain tracks go together it’s just a natural thing to do.

Pioneer steps up to the plate….

Pioneer has stepped up to the plate to give you a multi sceen touch controller. The DJM-2000 is the first mixer with a multi-touch display and uses the 5.8-inch LCD to provide control over the sound that would be difficult with buttons. At a basic level, it lets musicians put up a set of custom interfaces for controlling a Mac or PC’s music software through MIDI. Gestures also work to create “sidechain” mixing, and on-screen sliders can fine-tune the frequency.

Death of the Technic 1200 & 1210's??

So, you might have seen the news around the internets that Panasonic (The manufacturer of Technic Turntables) is ending production on the 1200 & 1210′s in February 2010.
